Denver

My family and I decided to visit Denver and see all its wonders.
This is what we did.

8/7/13

We arrived at Denver around 11:00 in the night and drove to our hotel. I couldn't see outside but I knew that Denver was full of mountains on every single side of it. Later, I got to know that we were about 10000 feet above sea level!!! That is only 2000 lower than the highest point of Switzerland. The ride to our hotel in Breckenridge was 1 1/2 hours and I was so tired that I slept through it. Breckenridge is famous for skiing, zip lining and the Breckenridge Fun Park.

8/8/13

I got up late, but then again, it's summer. I looked out the balcony and the view was magnificent! Mountains and mountains filled the background squished and piled on top of one another. Filled with lots of trees. It was endless.
So we got up and headed out. First we went on a gondola ride up and down a mountain.  Then we went to Vail, a giant town that looked exactly like Europe. However, there weren’t any cars inside Vail and it didn't age much. It reminded me of Switzerland.the roads were pebbled and there were like 30 Northface stores. Next, we gazed at the sparkling shorelines of Frisco. It was extremely beautiful. Lastly, we ate a full-fledged meal in Breckenridge downtown and returned to the hotel.

8/9/13

We woke up early and went to the Breckenridge Fun Park. There we took the chairlift to this giant slide called the Alpine slide, it was a long slide where you sat on a cart-type vehicle and could control your own speed.  My family and I raced down. My dad came in 1st, my mom came in 2nd, and I came in 3rd. Then my dad and I went on this awesome roller coaster called the Gold Runner Coaster, where you can control your own speed. There were many loops and turns in the coaster. After that we did mini golf for 18 holes, my dad and I tied. Later we went on another chairlift to the top of another mountain, the view was awesome but then it started to thunder and hail. So they stopped the chair lifts and  we were stuck at the top of the mountain for 20 minutes. Finally, a van came and got us down. Even though it was the middle of August, there was snow on a mountain! We decided to get going and explore Denver downtown, there were pianos on the brick parts of the street. We got to our new hotel. We ate at Cheesecake Factory  and then slept. One thing that I found was funny was that there were streets called Florida and California!

8/10/13

We went swimming early in the morning for 30 minutes. Then, We walked around Denver again and took a free mallride bus until we checked out of our hotel and drove to Colorado Springs. It took two hours but we finally made it. Then we went up a cog rail which took 1 1/2 hours, it  took us 14,000 feet above sea level! You had to drink a lot of water in order to not run out of breath! It was said that some of the rocks were 600 million years old! Can you believe that!? We also drove around the Garden of gods. There were many beautiful yet giant rocks over there. We stayed at my parents' friends' house.

8/11/13

Late in the afternoon we drove to Carter Lake and took plenty of  pictures. Even panoramic ones!We stepped into the water for sometime. Then, we drove to another end of the lake. While  I was  successfully skipping stones  that skipped two to five times,my dad and Manu Cha Cha took normal, zoomed in, zoomed out, and panoramic pictures.  At the same time Puja Cha Chi, my mom and Vikas were staying in the water.

8/12/13

For most of today we stayed home, for some time we went to the park and I went on the rock climbing. There was even a couch that swayed back and forth! 9:30 our flight left so we got going around 6:30. I hope to have vacations like this all the time. For anyone looking for a superb vacation spot, Denver is the place you should be.

8/13/13

Our flight ended up leaving at 10:45 and so we reached the house by 4 am!! Besides that, this vacation was awesome. Also, thanks to how much delicious food that I ate at Puja Cha Chi's, I might not eat for a few days.
