Summer Fun(some of it)

The days were passing and school was closing. Then on the last day of school, my teacher announced "Have a great summer," and for the last time in 4Th grade, class was dismissed. For the last few weeks of school, our teacher behooved us to focus on our assignments. Now, finally, here I was, at the last day of school.

As I walked to the bus line I recall thinking "Yes! I am going to go to D.C and N.Y.C! Woohoo!"
Then I skipped all the way to the bus. On the way home I hoped we would get a rental mustang there just like my dad got one in Seattle. I reached home and everyone thing was packed and ready for us to set out to the airport. The flight was two hour long to New Jersey. Surprisingly I spelt through the flight. We were tired by the time we reached the Hotel. Good dinner and nice room made me doze of immediately. Next day we headed out for D.C, and Man! It was amazing. In a day and a half we saw the: Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial International Spy Museum (I even bought a shock pen from there), The White House, Smithsonian History Museum and Air and Space Museum. It was awesome! What excited me the most was that the fun wasn't over yet.
So we drove back to N.J and stayed at my relatives house for a night. The next day few days, we spent  looking at tons of things in N.Y.C.First, we went to see Rockefeller Center, in winters there is an ice skating ring  here.Next, I got my caricature done and we headed for Times Square were we saw the M&M and Hershey's place. I got to see them make chocolate and we we bought a M&M laptop skin.
I went to the Toys R Us and it was gigantic! They had a Ferris wheel ride inside the store. On Time Square there were big billboards and it was pretty busy. On New Years Eve a big apple falls in the center there right at stroke of 12:00 am.
It was a beautiful weather o go see Statue of Liberty. We took the ferry ride to the island. Did you know that the torch fire of the statue is made from copper which we also use to make our pennies.
I had so much fun with my cousins there.
Cruising our way to the Wall Street we saw The Bull and I got a picture  taken there. Then we headed to Ground Zero. I was sad to read the uncountable names of the people you died trying to save people on 9/11.
To save ourselves from walking in the rain the next day, we took a beautiful Chariot ride through the Central Park. The park was huge with lots of nature. As the sun merged from the clouds we decide to walk half way through the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a magnificent site of water on both sides of the bridge. We ended our day at the Time Square and captured the night skyline of downtown Manhattan.

This vacation was extremely fun and I hope to have more like these.

One Story of Mine

The Cheetah’s Tail
Did you know that long ago the cheetah's were faster than they are now?
Long, long ago, cheetah used to be tailless until one day in a forest, a rabbit was hopping along. He saw a cheetah leap on to its prey. The rabbit turned red with anger because the cheetah attacked so many animals that they were endangered, for instance the black rhino.
“How can I put some weight on him that would look natural and slow him down? Maybe a foot, too creepy, a… ” the rabbit kept on brainstorming until “I got it! A tail!” He exclaimed “I’ll go to the Ox’s place and ask for one.” So the rabbit skipped to the Ox’s place and when he got there he said “Hey Ox, can you make a tail that would fit a cheetah?”
“Sure.” Replied the Ox. Then one night, while the cheetah was sleeping, the rabbit snooped up behind him and attached a tail on the cheetah. The cheetah felt that and started to chase the rabbit, but   couldn’t catch up! The rabbit celebrated with a dance. So remember that to conquer some things, it takes brain and not just strength .
